What Does Loving Someone's Soul Mean?

Before I go to sleep right before he wakes up, I usually stare at him for a while, thinking, My God, how did I get so lucky?

Taken during Lovey's basketball game yesterday

When you love someone's soul, you love them for who they are far beyond what the eyes can see. Sure, you might admire other people's attractiveness and even their sexual magnetism (I mean, don't we all???). You might be impressed by someone who is affluent, socially adept, or the walking definition of a "pang-rampa".

But loving someone's soul involves a deep-rooted awareness that you can love the person even in the absence of any of those qualitiesespecially in the absence of those.

You enjoy the exciting moments and the mundane, everyday things. You can both be daredevils, going on spontaneous trips or trying out new activities, and also feel a natural, lasting sense of euphoria and peace when you're doing little to nothing together (e.g., cuddling, watching movies at home, staring at the stars, laughing over silly things, complimenting each other, and even just lying next to each other). It feels like you've finally come home. You feel like you will always have a family no matter what.

This is even more special for those who have never had a home or a family. ❤️‍🩹

The kicker is, when you love someone's soul, the magnetism is always there, sexual or otherwise. It's knowing you can get mad and annoyed at each other from time to time because you are humans, but also knowing you'll want to wake up next to them in ten, twenty, fifty years or more.

Love is a funny thing, ain't it? There are so many different kinds of it and many different ways to express it. So when you find a kind of love where you feel you're always at home, as if your puzzle piece of a heart found its way to its exact place in the puzzle board, you're one lucky and blessed badass b*tch or son of a gun. 😜♥️
